As the holidays are approaching, everyone is trying to beat the clock to get the products out in time. The only question is if this can be done in time. However our answer will always be ABSOLUTELY! Depending on your project schedule, there will be a right package option:
If you have more than 2 weeks till release
If you are in this category, then you are a lucky bunch. Most of our packages take an average of 2-3 weeks to complete. It includes jewel case, Amaray box, and other cardboard products. Replication or duplication will both be available to you depending on the quantity. Always allow extra time to print and content disc proofing.
If you have about 1 week till release
Always remember that in counting turnaround time, it will always be in business days. Therefore if your schedule only allows for one week of production, that really means only 5 business days. So what can you do in 5 business days? For starters, a lot of custom products will be out of the question. Cardboard mailers, wallets and CD Digipak or DVD Digipak requires longer printing time. Try for jewel case, Amaray case and even generic cases such as plastic/paper sleeves and slim amaray box. Let your disc design become the focus.
In this type of schedule you can still choose from replication and duplication, depending on your quantity.
If you have less than 1 week till release
HELP! Many people will be in panic mode by now. In reality, CD duplication or DVD duplication is your best bet now. Duplication is the process where discs are burned rather than pressed (as in replication). It has faster turnaround time but higher per unit cost. If you are in this category, the best thing is to keep it simple. Generic cases is your best friend. Slim jewel case, plastic/paper sleeves, clear slim Amaray case are all good alternatives to custom printed cardboard sleeves. There are many generic cases to choose from, and they could make as great impression as a custom printed sleeve. Your creativity is the key.
