What is aqueous coating (AQ)?

August 27th, 2009 by Shirley · 2 Comments · Printing/Design

An aqueous coating is a fast-drying, water-based, protective coating which is applied while the paper stock is on the press. It does not crack or scuff easily. This clear coating provides a high gloss surface which protects the surface from dirt, smudges, fingerprints and scratch.
